In the tradition of many great fashion brands prior, Nanette Lepore came into being when its founder moved from the mid-West to New York City to begin her professional career as a designer. After successfully completing her course of study at FIT, Ms. Lepore moved back to California, where she quickly gained renown after opening her first boutique. The brand's signature style has been bold color, gorgeous print, and feminine flair, and the fabrics designed by the company reflect their primary goal – to make something beautiful.
